Is the December 2007 South West Trains Timetable known yet? I am interested to know with all the changes hinted whether Wimbledon-Point Pleasant Junction will be affected?

The latest post I made in the obscure workings thread contains all the workings I can see and that would *easily* work based on the District WTT.

In a word: yes.
It started (off the top of my head, as I don't have it here) on the 9th Dec. I picked up a new timetable book when I bought my tickets up to London on Friday.

It actually starts today.
Regarding the 2008 timetable which Oracle is referring to, service patterns should increase over Pt Pleasant.

From what I can gather Totton and Ashurst New Forest will see a new service pattern. Brockenhurst and Southampton are going to be "looping".
I wonder what poor Beaulieu Road will end up with? The ghosts will be annoyed if their station gets cut down any futher.

I think a "day" trip to Beaulieu Road constitutes of a 5 minute visit judging by the current service calls...!

1. I apologise for digging up an old thread.
2. I am sure that this has been mentioned before but I have just found out that apparently on 9th March in the morning, trains were diverted Clapham J - Wandsworth Road - Point Pleasant J - East Putney J [?] - Wimbledon because of signal problems. That must have been interesting to see and fun for the District Controller.

It's all Point Pleasant Jn that area, then its Wimbledon North Jn IIRC.
Incidentally, the timetable change in December should bring a few more trains via East Putney.
