Watch the morning I've been told the work is 3 hrs behind so they will have to down scope the work if they want to hand back for the morning.

The services to and from Richmond and Ealing Broadway to HSK were empty east of Hammersmith, as usual; most of the traffic at Earl's Court consisted of people heading for the Piccadilly Line, with the remainder stuffing themselves into the Wimblewares to switch to the Central Line at Notting Hill Gate.
The Victoria Line was coping, but barely; see my thread elsewhere. The Piccadilly and Jubilee Lines were busier than normal for a weekend, but not overly so.
As for the eastern shuttle between Whitechapel and Upminster, it was full but not full and standing.

Well Yesterday The Piccadilly Line was Jam Packed! Especially if you were at Green Park, Massive Crowd getting to the Piccadilly Line Platform. At South Kensington , There were fencing to prevent people going near the Battery Loco >> Battery L54 at South Kensington << At Gloucester Road, lots of people packing into the lifts, but the Picc platforms seems Jolly empty! That didn't help with the Chelsea Supporters adding in!

I had to get from Earls Court to Victoria at around 5:30pm and it was terrible! Picc wasn't too bad, but it was third time lucky to squeeze onto the Vic at Green Park. The combination of Northern Line passengers going to Stockwell with District line passengers getting to Victoria was not good!

Oh dear - it's 0750 and this is still on TfL's website:
DISTRICT LINE: Suspended between Whitechapel and Mansion House due to late finish of engineering works. Message received 03:27am
CIRCLE LINE: Suspended due to late finish of engineering works. Message received 03:28am

Eventually started rolling between Mansion House & Whitechapel at about 07.35.
Tower Hill bay road is out of commission as it is being used to store several road/rail vehicles used over the weekend. Guess they didn't have the time available to run back to South Kensington?

Tower Hill will be out of use until close of traffic today (Monday). If you've ever wanted to get a close look at some rail plant, nows your chance!

Here's a pic I took on monday evening, whilst passing with an eastbound train. Unfortunately the temporary lighting at Tower Hill doesn't lend itself well to photography, and my train blocked the view being on a curve - but it at least gives you the idea...

How on earth would HMRI suddenly decide to turn up and condemn engineering equipment?!? They wouldn't - unless some concerned employee 'tipped them the wink' that they were unsafe to run.......... And having seen the state of some of the engineering trolleys etc. and the number of (fatal) accidents there have been in the recent years, I'm not at all surprised. Spending any money on maintaining on-track plant just does not feature in the bean-counters' plan.
