I've not tried out the RATP yet, but from a few friends that have commented on it; I think it might bet better if they sorted out their own house first, rather than trying to elbow their way in to run other countries transport systems.
I need say no more than Connex South Central.

I need say no more than Connex South Central. April fool or not. Connex tends to work fine in other countries from what I understand. As for the Paris Metro, it's worth the experience to watch the train doors fly open before it comes to a stop. Just don't believe the word "interchange", I kept finding they were a bit of a walk. A centre zone travelcard was about £4, which means it'll be about £6 now! Oh yeah - hold your nose when you're walking through the passageways....
