I'll hazard a guess that D is Stratford DLR.

Or is it that they're all regular destinations for trains to terminate but Stratford is the only one that is actually at the end of the running line? Others continuing to Harrow, Upminster and round the Circle...

A is definitely Clapham Jct,I'd say the stairs to Platforms 11 and 12 from the footbridge.

B is definitely Barking, looking from Platform 1 (LO) towards the rest of the station.
Barking is actually at the end of both the Hammersmith & City and London Overground Gospel Oak to Barking lines.
Edited to add- could the similarity be that all stations apart from Stratford are served by C stocks?

D is definitely Stratford DLR.
I think A is Wandworth Common and B looks like Upminster.

The link could be that they're all termini, and the odd one out is Edgware Road as the others are all termini for London Overground?

Is Edgware Rd the odd one out because it does not connect with either main line or LO?

Another thought, Clapham Junction is the only one not served by LU?

I can think of a few
*Edgware Road is the only one not to have Electrostars call there *Stratford is the only one with Light Rail *Stratford is the only one with major bus station

All good suggestions, but none of them are correct. It's not about trains, termini, buses or other things external to the station.

Stratford is the only one with tracks on different levels, and not all parallel to each other

Is it to do with bridges and subways? They all have more than one way of crossing the track, but Edgware road has only bridges?

It's not tracks (directly) or bridges or subways.
All locations have something in common, but one has something extra within the common (If that makes sense)
So damn hard when I know the answer, but trying to help slightly without giving it away!

Is it something to do with the fact that they all have sidings nearby but Stratford's sidings actually form a depot?

Nothing to do with sidings. Last shot! Is it to do wih platform RE-numbering? Have they all been re-numbered,and Stratford is about to be re-re-numbered?? It is about platform numbering, and indirectly about renumbering, and Stratford is the odd one out, but that isn't the reason.
