Whist there is number plate recognition at many of the entrances, the entry from Moor Lane is the only manned 'sentry post', provided you are not driving a commercial vehicle if challenged just say you are going to Tolly's the butchers ( shop very close to the station)

Just checked Ricky no help points and what used to be a yellow plunger to release gates has been replaced with a glass which needs to be broken.

I am not sure Ricky has a help point it's certainly not obvious.

Just witnessed somebody at Ricky with a paper ticket trying to exit gateline and paper ticket rejected, notice on assistance window "staff on break back in 30 minutes", after a while he managed to get the attention of someone in the booking hall who released a gate. I though if gatelines are not being monitored they have to be left open

I was actually trying to find a PDF of the published timetable rather than the WTT.

As a footnote I was on a Chiltern that departed Marylebone at 1357, we were stuck at the boundary between NR & LU signalling for about 30 minutes then allowed to proceed to HOH where we sat at the platform for at least another half an hour. The driver should be complemented for keeping us informed as much as he was able.
We finally moved off having be given a green but told to wait five minutes before departing in case it reverted to red. Just had a email from TFL with a credit to my PAYG oyster due to an operational issue for the amount of the fare.

Dot matrix displays at Ricky now active. Chiltern trains both north and southbound just described as 'Chiltern train' Met trains described with destination on one line with 'all stations' on the line below on southbound trains slow trains.

I asked about the use of the North Curve at one of the consultations that took place some years ago and was amazed to find that he hadn't been considered in any detail.
Given the current peak hour car traffic down the Chorleywood Road into Ricky and onward in the direction of Watford if some these people could be persuaded to use 'The Met' a peak hour service would be viable. Also direct access Chorleywood and Ricky areas etc. to Watford's hospital would be very useful. (Possibly Biased opinion of a Ricky Resident)

A video showing part of the bridge replacement can be viewed via this linkSadly the track leading to the bay platform is now severed with a very permanent looking buffer stop prior to the bridge.

Pity a HTC One Mini 2 does record any GPS coordinates in the metadata, knowing it was shot on 3 October 2015 at 1/13 at f2.2 doesn't really help.

I certainly think there would be a big peak hour demand, most days in the rush hour it's slow moving traffic from Chorleywood all the way through Ricky to Watford. The Watford Health Campus will presumably reduce the amount of available parking at the hospital and would also generate demand.

I too remember them particularly the announcement at Amersham referring to the them as Fast City Express trains non stopping between Moor Park & Finchley Road. They were also great Northbound in the evening peak as you were more likely to get a seat.

I was woken up just after 2.00AM on Tuesday morning by a very loud sound of a train passing through Ricky Northbound as far as I could tell, It didn't sound like a pair or two of class 20's. I would be interested know any details.
