Is the running of the 38 planned to be a regular (if not frequent) occurrence?
I wanted to go on this trip but my brother is getting married that weekend and the selfish sod wouldn't postpone it.
They would not spend 2+ years overhauling it to mainline condition, only to keep it locked away.
The unit has been little used, relatively speaking, since it was preserved. Outings have always been fairly rare. Has the current overhaul been done to a higher standard than the previous ones in preservation?
Time for a good old-fashioned livery debate. I hope the Swanage job doesn't mean they paint it in an 'authentic' BR livery. I always liked the Metropolitan maroon, which looked just right with Sarah etc (hated the fake teak vinyl).
With more than 48 hours since the last move either everyone like myself had a long hard weekend of drinking. Or, as a result of Chris's last move (a Stovold classic) followed by a points failure, everyone is in Nidd. Except me. Therefore:

I believe that the largest kindle has 3GB of memory so would be unable to accommodate the brief guide, even without appendices.
Just needed a few extra Kindles. Anyway I've finished reading it now. There’s not nearly as much of it as people imagine. Some of it’s pretty funny, though. Most of the good bits are about frogs, believe it or not. Which therefore allows me to move again.
miff, we may need a stewards inquiry on this one mate as Cockfosters and High Barnet have already been played subsequent to my Woodford suggestion.
You said a statutory move. And you're a Global Mod. What could I do? I will download, from Kindle, a copy of the 45th Edition Brief Guide to the Rules with Extended Appended & Amended Addendum (Abridged)* and study it very carefully.
Due to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle I believe that last move is invalid during (without bringing up the politics) the interval between referendum and final Brexit and it could even put you into a stasis of Reno's Spiral for a very long time.
May I boldly suggest - Tottenham Court Road? Jessop's loop doesn't apply since there is a Jessops just outside, 102 New Oxford St.
