Once again, although very rare, regrettably, it has been necessary to suspend a member permanently.
The member concerned is 'signalfailure'. He had previously been suspended for inappropriate language in posting and had only just returned from a 30 day (private*) suspension. He tried the same thing again, and when challenged by the forum moderators, publicly posted his discontent at the decisions made.
Hence he was immediately temporarily suspended whilst the Admins decided what to do, but he chose to respond to the person suspending him with a load of explicit verbal abuse.
Long-standing members will know this exact scenario happened before, a couple of years ago, and the Admins have applied the same sanction in this case, namely permanent suspension.
We are very fortunate on this forum to have a great load of members who enjoy being here and contributing and cause no trouble at all, but this is a reminder to the odd one or two (out of over 500) who think they can cause mischief. DON'T. It's bad enough to have to be suspended, but then to respond with abuse to the Admins will always get the same sanction as above.
*Many of the actions taken with members are private, as in 'being called into the boss's office' rather than being shouted at in public. In the vast majority of cases (in themselves very few) the member concerned realizes what they have done, usually apologizes, and peace is restored without any further recurrence. Only if this fails is the matter brought to forum members' attention, as in this case.
