Every major incident on the Picc in my time seems
to have occurred at Kings X . From the fire in
1987 through the train attempting to reverse
west up the eastbound tunnel and the driverless
train departing from the eastbouind to the recent
tragic bombings . Does any other line have
such a jinxed station ?

I don't know of any other line with such a jinxed station. Maybe South Harrow?

Mile End used to have a one under 'problem', though I believe the 'mental' hospital is no longer there.

Now you mention it, I'm sure read that somewhere. Mind you that was a long time ago. Jim - is the 'mental hospital' still there then? i'm sure i've been told they moved it because of the one under situation.

The 'Mental' hospital was AFAIAA Mile End hospital and is now closed. This was a general hospital with no casualty dept. Barkingside had a similar problem with people from Barley Lane jumping under trains.

I understand that adverts with the Samaritans phone number are placed
prominently at Turnham Green also. I 'm intrigued by the South Harrow jinx or am
I missing some in joke ?

Missing in some joke that literally everyone knows on this forum... you see Dave and Jim like to take trips up there sometimes in their big trains... Dave likes chocolate and there is a nice chocolate shop up there.
