Just been announced, there will be no District Line service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road on Boxing Day 26 December. As mentioned in the SSR Resignalling thread www.districtdavesforum.co.uk/thread/27999/ssr-resignalling the provision of IOs Instructor Operators was going to give problems without an enhanced payment. LU tried to get driver feedback whether IOs were even required by drivers on this section, the result is they certainly are!

Not being advertised on the TFL site. Either they have found some extra instructor operators, or the TFL site is lying. Hmmm!

If SMA2 had started from Notting Hill Gate, the west end drivers could have been signed up by now, leaving only the east end crews to be qualified in SMA3?

It seems to me that this service restriction will have to apply again whilst SMA3 is commissioned, since Instructors will be spread thinly between Monument, Stepney Green and Paddington!
