Why has all the plaster been removed from the walls in the corridor going to the platform here?
Also, what is a Delta lined wall in the first place?

Why has all the plaster been removed from the walls in the corridor going to the platform here? Also, what is a Delta lined wall in the first place? Well I never - yes, it was delta lined during the works Metronet did as water ingress was always an issue (poor track draining I recall) but I also seem to recall that the lining was 'compromised' very early on a bit like Fairlop where someone drilled the subway (delta lined) for the Connect cabling and wondered why there were lots of little jets of water springing out of the wall! As for what will replace it, I suspect the stations budgets are now almost zilch for this sort of work?

Whenever a hole needs to be drilled into a delta lined wall what can best be described as a heavy duty condom needs to be inserted into the wall to create a new waterproof seal.
A special fixing can then be secured within the new sealed area.
