The main is Rayners Lane. The non-entrance side, which would show a brick wall (behind which are the ticket machines). Insert is Antwerp Central Station +1

Via PM Rayners Lane for the main picture. The closed off entrance side. Answer: Location A: Rayners Lane - alcove on north exterior wall (maybe for payphones) [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location B: Heathrow Terminal 4 (Crossrail) - passage to platform 1 from circulating area [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Inset: Antwerp Station [ londonstuff ] (click for a larger version)

I don't recall payphones there at Rayners Lane. It was built with an entrance both sides, so this side had swing doors in what is now the alcove pictured. The ticket hall had a central passimeter type ticket office. When these were eliminated, one side had a new ticket office built, blocking the doorway pictured. Now there is no ticket office as such, it would be nice to open the entrance again and restore the architectural style and passenger convenience for those approaching or leaving from/to that side. About 50% of passengers have the inconvenience of having to walk round to the remaining doorway.
