I believe that both Insets in B are of the Royal Albert Dock, with the UEL campus buildings on the right.

Well you have A and C and the inset in B, but nothing else was attempted so I can't give you any more clues: Location A: Between Chalfont & Latimer and Chesham - wooden boundary fence in April 2017 [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Inset B: London City Aiport and King George V Dock in May 2018 [ Deep Level] (click for a larger version) Location C: Between Elverson Road and Lewisham - NR waterjetting train approaching Lewisham station in background [Chris M] (click for a larger version)

B is the bridge at Theobalds Grove. Is the link that these are the last stretches of line before a terminus?

Is it something to do with geography? Chesham is the point furthest west of the TfL network, Cheshunt furthest north, not sure where Lewisham would fit into that though.

OK, this is a really wild guess (playing an almost-certainly wrong hunch) - but is D between Plumstead and Abbey Wood?

D isn't between Plumstead and Abbey Wood, the picture is unmodified, but below might be a clue Is it something to do with geography? Chesham is the point furthest west of the TfL network, Cheshunt furthest north, not sure where Lewisham would fit into that though. That's close enough. Link: These locations are between an extreme terminus and the penultimate station Between Chalfont and Latimer & Chesham: westernmost London Underground Between Cheshunt Junction and Theobalds Grove: northernmost London Overground Between Elverson Road and Lewisham: southernmost DLR
