They're definitely no longer on the platforms! Any idea what's happened?

Possibly (though I wouldn't say this with any certainty) they've been removed and will be replaced with a newer design when control of that part of the Piccadilly line gets migrated to the new Control Centre?

I know that those DMI’s had suffered some kind of damage due to water/moisture ingress which had put them out of action for a few days. But a similar thing happened at Ruislip Manor (EB) and they were repaired in situ. The DMI’s at S.Harrow are fairly new so I’d be very surprised if they were being replaced because they were incompatible.

They were terrible however (control system issue I imagine rather than issue with the DMI itself)

The WB DMI did indeed get damaged by water, and was not able to be repared so had to be replaced. Took a while to get approval and the order to go through etc.
Not sure why the EB would have been removed too?
Good thing they finally putting a new one... was always a PITA when working there answering the help point about when the next WB train is.

Eastbound DMI (not shown) is back doing its thing displaying consistently coherent information whilst the API data that most 3rd party apps use to display departures is really struggling not only at S.Harrow but at most stations down to North Ealing. Westbound DMI or the absence thereof as photographed this afternoon has yet to be repatriated.
