Looking at youtube "Motormans viewpoint views" on the New York subway, there are several items showing a rail grinding unit being hauled/propelled by a diesel loco at various locations. The actual vehicles of the grinding section which have a cab at the outer end look approx: the same size as our tube stock.Any comments about this?

I have nothing to contribute in regards to your question, only a pedantic comment that the title should say NYCT (New York City Transit) Mod edit: Fixed. Perhaps a PM to the OP next time would be more appropriate?

There are an awful lot of "Motorman's viewpoint" videos on You Tube. Could you be more specific - maybe provide a link to one of the items showing this?

Try " L O R A M rail grinder subway train transfer action " posted by Dj Hammers . This leads to several similar items -also check "Garbage trains" and " Transfer trips" etc: There is one item whch shows an engineers train topped and tailed by two locos working on diesel power with heavy exhaust smoke runnning throgh a station during passenger hours. Hope this helps B M

I would have thought that anyone interested in the subject would know that "New York Subway" and "NYCT" both refer to the same thing in this case

Repeating yourself in this manner shows a distinct lack of respect. Your thread is now locked and further action will most likely be forthcoming.
