I found myself on 890 a couple of days ago. The refurbishment looks great, but the seats are unbelievably hard and uncomfortable, almost as bad as the Overground's 378s. Hopefully they'll soften up with a bit of use, but if not, it'll soon be time to carry a cushion.

The worst thing about the 378's though is that when you sit down the window is far closer to the back of your head than you'd expect. Bump!! /OT

Ah yes, the wonderful 378 sore head syndrome. Makes you wonder how someone can spend so much time and money designing a train and get something so basic so badly wrong. But we’re wandering off topic...

I've never had that problem on a 378, but then I'm shorter than average so that might have something to do with it.
