If that had a vintage train on the tracks it would make a great jigsaw picture. It clearly isn't on the current underground as the warning signs are of BR vintage. No overhead electrification so much of the Overground is out. How about somewhere beyond Amersham?

Looks like a former road crossing made pedestrians-only, probably after a string of 'incidents'. Probably bombed during the war. That end house doesn't look quite 'right'.

Turkey Street is on my list of 'must visit' stations. You can do it on an Oyster from Liverpool Street. Or you used to be able to. It was the furthest station available on that system.

Turkey Street is on my list of 'must visit' stations. You can do it on an Oyster from Liverpool Street. Or you used to be able to. It was the furthest station available on that system. Oyster now valid to Hertford East.
