I am assuming that the connection is something to do with France. Although as they are commemorating the storming of the Bastille, the connection could be stations close to prisons.

Location D looks like Knightsbridge which is the closest station for the French embassy

Location A is just above the set of escalators that lead from Southwark's Blackfriars Road ticket hall to the lower concourse which has a blue glass wall (not sure if that's relevant).
Location B I'm guessing is Holborn with the Central and Piccadilly with colours as part of the French flag.
Location C's link at Temple could be with the Temple Church's irate history with the monarchy.

Between you,you have A, C and D plus the link, although it has nothing to do with prisons. So we're still looking for the French connections to the stations. Answer: Location A: Southwark - cupola in ticket hall [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location C: Temple - Roundel on eastbound platform [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location D: Knightsbridge - Brompton Road ticket office ceiling [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Clue: Location B: (click for a larger version) Bonus answer: Today is Bastille Day

Well Temple is nearest to HMS Wellington, and Southwark is near Waterloo Bridge (but then so is Waterloo).

B is not Mile End or Arsenal, but its name is relevant.
Interesting to note that I expected C to be the hardest to identify of the four.
