D inset is the Grand Union Canal viaduct between West Ruislip and Denham.

There is no inset in image B (the only one today is in image D, and it has been identified). B is not Ruislip, but this version may help you: (click for a larger version)

There is indeed no shortage of architecture at Crystal Palace, but you'll not see this there.
