With apologies for the late start (due to my having finished creating this about 2 minutes ago), I present today's question: Identify these stations and the link between them. Bonus question: What links the insets? Location A: (click for a larger version) Location B: (click for a larger version) Location C: (click for a larger version) Location D: (click for a larger version) Insets in A are numbered top to bottom. Insets in D are numbered top to bottom, left to right

With a logo like that on the walls it would have to be a union.

Inset B is Canning Dock in Liverpool Inset B: Albert Dock, Liverpool in 2006 [Chris M] wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=57.644137&lon=39.889855&z=16&m=b(click for a larger version) Location C: Victoria - please walk to far end for Victoria line [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location A: King George V - sign [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location B: St. James Street - emergency exit from stairs between platform 2 and ticket hall [Chris M] (click for a larger version) D3 Hadrian's Wall milecastle near Whin Sill? The answer on my card is much more general than that, so I'll give you the points! Inset D3: Fort on Hadrian's Wall [Chris M] (click for a larger version) List of unsolved to follow shortly, perhaps even with some clues.

Location D: (click for a larger version) Inset D1: (click for a larger version) Inset D2: (click for a larger version) And finally, what links the main locations to each other? Also, what links the insets?

The link would seem to be names of monarchs.

D1 looks like the disused Alexandra palace station but it looks to have modern notice boards and a main road. I wonder what other stations are nearby with the same design.

D1 looks like the disused Alexandra palace station but it looks to have modern notice boards and a main road. I wonder what other stations are nearby with the same design. It's the current (downhill) Alexandra Palace station. The styles are remarkably similar, even for two stations built by the same company Here is the uphill one. Inset A looks like the QE2, possibly at Portsmouth

Inset A1 is the Queen Mary 2, and she is tied up in Scotland but not near Rosyth and not on the Forth. (click for a larger version)

In that case, the logical place for her to be would be on the Clyde on the site of the John Brown shipyard where her older namesake was built
