I'm aware that many forum members will already be familiar with London's transport history and the huge range of vehicles and artefacts on display at Acton. But for those who aren't, here's some pictures to give you an idea.
The tour was very pleasant, well worth the money and highly recommended. In theory this was research for a novel, but actually it was mostly for fun!
Thank you! Judging by the lack of response I'd assumed these were indeed boring for most forum members.
I guess as the museum depot has been open for several years, a lot of members here have been. The spring depot open day plays host to our other traditional social of the year, however in recent years fewer people attend as the number of new additions to the depot mean that it's not worth the entry fee year after year.
Please don't get me wrong, I love exploring the depot, but having done it three times now I'll probably give it a year or two before going back. Although the 67ts cab with working camshafts might just tempt me back sooner!
