Unless you predate both the Jubilee & Victoria Lines, you can't be considered old.
Conversely, my father, who left his native London over half a century ago, still refers to the Victoria Line as the "new" one and, like various other bits of infrastructure like the Hammersmith flyover, it is absent from his mental map of London.
If you predate closure of the South Acton branch as well, then you are merely getting your second wind or raising a fresh head of steam.
I do actually predate closure of the South Acton shuttle (only just), but I didn't live in the area until nearly two decades later so I don't recall it. However, I do remember seeing Q stock on the ELL when visiting relatives in SE London .
