See on the BBC web page that the 'Thumper' on the Swindon & Cricklade railway has been completely destroyed. Very sad.

Apologies for jumping the gun, but should this be proven to be arson, may i suugst a suitable punishment is to lock these scotes up in a container with flammable material and then set fire to it?

One current theory is that the wagons that it was parked next to (the shells of which can be seen in the BBC article) had some things in it that caught fire and then it spread to the Thumper.
