Looks like the scheme has been delayed. It has had to be redesigned because of land issues. It seems this weekend is the critical time because of the line possession between Stratford and Camden Road. I assume the critical work is being done now because the report below says the scheme would be delayed by two years otherwise.
he Committee is asked to note the current cost and programme issues and the alterative options being considered and tested.
Minutes: 6.1 The Director of Development introduced the report providing an update on the cost and programme issues for the delivery of the Hackney Wick Station Improvements project.
6.2 The strategic case for the project remained extremely strong and central to the overall regeneration of the area. A Rail Possession had been booked for Easter 2017, and a revised Business Case would be submitted to the Legacy Corporation Board. A revised programme meant the project would have an end date of six months later than originally planned.
6.3 Funding contributions would continue to be sought from other stakeholders to bridge the current funding gap, including all the host boroughs, Transport for London and the Greater London Authority. Officers would also continue to meet with Network Rail with a view to reducing costs.
6.4 Members requested a further update paper in Q1 of 2016. [Action: Director of Development]
6.5 The Committee noted the current cost and programme issues and the alternative options being considered and tested.
The requested update has not reached a meeting of the LLDC Investment Cttee. The planned meetings for April and May have been cancelled no doubt because of the Mayoral Election which means the next one at which an update can be provided is 23 June 2016.
