Admin that is!
Solidbond's also been asked and has agreed to help out for the reasons I stated previously.
The comments about experience and 'powers' apply equally to solidbond too.

C'mon MA, you know using phrases like that to SB is the same as using the kind of language not permitted in polite society.

LOL! I'm surprised SB hasn't added the word 'work' to the swear filter yet! ;D Couldn't do that because it would prevent you using phrases like 'Day off work'

I'm just curious as to what solidbond actually does when he's at work. It seems to me that he has acquired a reputation for being very skilled in the art of 'delegation'

I'm just curious as to what solidbond actually does when he's at work. It seems to me that he has acquired a reputation for being very skilled in the art of 'delegation' Well, when I am at work, which I will be returning to next week, after a mere 5 weeks break (albeit I am only working 3 days next week ;D ;D), I drive trains to a reasonably high standard, which includes only going the correct way ( ), and dealing with any defects, including MCBs ( ) without a problem. I would stress that although I have driven a train to South Harrow, it was when I was working on the Picc, and I was supposed to go there ;D ;D ;D I have also had a number of MCBs trip out while driving C stocks, and have been able to deal with them, although I did need a D stock to push the train on one of the occasions, and ended up having to go to Parsons Green instead of round the Circle Line, but this was not my fault, and was authorised before I went there ;D ;D ;D Oh, and I also teach people how to fix C stocks when they go wrong - well - I try to teach them - but some are more difficult than others

All of which serves to demonstrate that the mere concept of "work" is totally alien to SB.

I don't do delegation. I get someone else to do it.
As for those C-Stocks. If only we could fix some of those driving them. The tales of the past week I could tell...

Well one gem was a driver who knew he should reverse at a certain station, but as the starter was green (an auto) thought he should obey it and continue further on. I won't go into any more detail here and now. There were others, but this is neither the thread nor the place

I won't go into any more detail here and now. There were others, but this is neither the thread nor the place (Shakes head in disbelief....) Was this a 'deliberate' act where (undoubtedly) he should have known better or just sheer incompetence? And how did you 'book' the item?

This is TOTALLY unrelated, but I saw 'South Harrow' pop up and reminded me of this little joke;
Why are there so many Chinamen in Harrow?
Because everytime they get into a taxi they say, "Harow*" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
No, maybe it's not that funny.

And also why there are so many living in Ascot, when all they really wanted was the Motor Show.

Poor Dave and his liitle excursion and Mr SB's apparent aversion to work ... Well, to go along with the senior man's request I can positively say that DD is not the only one to go on that particular excursion (the Route Learning Guide was inspired by the other person, who did it prior to DD but no name no pack drill). I can also positively say that SB's apparent aversion to work is unjustified. Before one can develop an aversion to something one has to experience it. ;D

I have another Chinese joke from the legendry Tommy Cooper. (Sorry to any Chinese folk who see this - it's nothing personnal)
Apparently, 1 in 5 people in the world are Chinese. And there are 5 people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother Colin. Or my younger brother Ho-Cha-Chu. But I think it's Colin.
