B has a feel of Putney Bridge about it, but I feel that's probably wrong. Maybe Uxbridge?

Inset A3 is the Balkerne Gate in Colchester, I used to work in the building in the background... The insets are or appear to have a potential Roman link?

The inset in D is a Sherman tank - If D is Enfield, then the connection would presumably be the old Royal Ordnance Factory at Enfield.

Correct, but why choose Romford particularly?
|
|
|
Post by melikepie on Oct 20, 2015 17:09:39 GMT
It can't be because Romford is essntially a town because that also applies to Enfield

Is it that Romford is a town, while the ones with stations called "town" aren't actually towns?

Between the two of you you have it right. These are all at or between "Town" stations, except for Romford which is a station in a town but not named such
