It looks like the joint service operation between TfL (LO) and London Midland has ceased according to the image captured at Ilford... however that is as one end only IMO its a bit of a clanger by whoever reliveried the 321's... and all round !!

Thanks domh245. Easy, once one knows how! Alas it was not possible to see the front of the train at the far end. Maybe we need to wait until it is next in service. Simon

321 414 was located in LO livery to the north eastern sidings this morning, close to the running lines... Wrong unit, I know, but there wasn't a hint of the word 'Midland' above either cab... nor 'London' for that matter

413 still has it this morning, 'west' facing cab.

413 still has it this morning, 'west' facing cab. ah, I wondered. Because of its location I could only see and film the east facing cab. Simon

Are the w.c.s on these 321s available, or locked out of use?

Seen at Ilford depot this lunchtime - one of the LO 321s sandwiched between two other 321 sets, looking as if it come out of service from the GEML. Are LO letting their spare be used by AGA to Southend Vic as a 12-car train, I wonder? Too wet to make out numbers

Aren't the West Anglia lines getting the same new stock as the electrified Goblin? That was my understanding - also to the Wat-Eus line to shift more 378s onto the Orbital routes. The new stock are, so I understand, Bombardier's Aventra model, so will have a family resemblance to the 345s for Crossrail rather than the Capitalstars (378). No class number issued yet, although 710 has been suggested. Have we run out of 300 numbers, or can we ever re-use them?

Reusing is possible, as long as there is only one concurrent type with the number in service on the network at any time. Classes 21, 22, 41, 43, 70 and 180 at least have been reused.

Has Class 180 been re-used? (disregarding the original TOPS scheme which gave different class numbers for DMU motors and trailers, and used all class numbers from 140-150 and 160-189 Less than half the 3xx series numbers have been used for emu classes - 302-323, 325, 332-334, 345, 350, 357, 360, 365, 370, 374-380, 387, 390, 395 However, many of the remaining number blocks would duplicate wagon numbers in the 3xxxxx series. www.ltsv.com/w_ref_numbers_b1.php

After my first post on this subject in September, it seems the last LO 321 (321.414) has now departed for Scotland to become 3-car 320.414. 317s should now run on Romford-Upminster.

This thread re 321 414 has always caused me to be on the lookout as I pass through Romford... and I was late for work yesterday... I'm normally passing through the station earlier... EDIT... okay okay, I haven't been through a time warp... 30th March is what I meant..... All together now.... let's do the time warp again

it seems the last LO 321 (321.414) has now departed for Scotland to become 3-car 320.414. . Not according to this site which reports that 321411/412/413/415/416 have transferred to Doncaster Wabtec for conversion to 320 specification, 413 being the most recent, earlier this month. So far only 321411 has moved on to Scotrail 321414/415 transferred to Ilford on 19/09/15, on temporary loan to London Overground 321413 went to London Overground to replace 415 321417 went to London Overground to replace 413. 414 and 417 not yet reported as having gone north. Certainly am... I was late for work yesterday... A whole month late, it would seem........ although I think you are probably right about the unit,

The site you quote has been updated to show that 321.414 left London on 31/03, the day of my post, so i therefore stand by the information i gave, that no 321s are at LO.
