Closure on London Overground; Saturday 25 July-Tuesday 28 July" Saturday 25 July - Sunday 26 July No London Overground service between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon/Crystal Palace/New Cross/Clapham Junction (via Canada Water) No Tube service between Bromley-by-Bow and Aldgate East on the District line, and Barking and Liverpool Street on the Hammersmith & City line (Bromley-by-Bow to Barking will be served by the District line) Whitechapel station will be closed.
Monday 27 July - Tuesday 28 July No London Overground service between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, and between Surrey Quays and New Cross London Overground services will run at a reduced frequency between Shadwell and Surrey Quays Whitechapel station will reopen to customers for the Hammersmith & City and District lines but London Overground services will not run until Wednesday 29 July
Why is this happening? Engineering work is needed around the Whitechapel area to rebuild the station and create new tunnels for Crossrail services, due to open from 2018.
The London Overground route, which runs directly above and through the worksite, needs to close for six days to allow this work to take place."

Unless I am mistaken, the 25th to 28th is 4 days, not 6, unless these 6 days are 2 preparation followed by 4 of work
