As a frequent Overground traveller, usually on the East London line, I have noticed particularly over the last 6 months that the standard of window cleaning has declined. Even the carriages look grubby, apart from the new extra car. Is there a reason for this? Initially the cars looks `spiffing`, up to South West Trains standard.

To quote redbond from the thread about Ilford: The wheel lathe at New Cross Gate was removed. The Wheel Lathe building and Heavy Clean were repurposed for in to a new facility to attach the 5th coach to 378s. Wheel Lathing is now done elsewhere. Hopefully, once they've finished the extension project, they will be able to resume the heavy cleans

Not something I've noticed on London Overground, but other operators as well
