I was up at Mangapps yesterday and was having a look over trailer 2044 and was approached by someone who worked there who told me that it was for sale, he said it would make a nice greenhouse! It looks in reasonable condition considering it's been left in the open. It is just the trailer that's up for sale, not the DM (which unfortunately has been 'modified' inside).

How much are decommissioned Underground carriages generally worth? Could someone (with ample storage space!) have bought a '67 or A60 from TfL when they were being scrapped and for what price? And how much would likely be asked for this trailer in 'reasonable condition'?

Could someone (with ample storage space!) have bought a '67 or A60 from TfL when they were being scrapped and for what price? I'm led to believe TfL/LUL were very reluctant to sell 1967 stock/A stock/C69 stock to anyone other than the man in Rotherham due to Asbestos content and liability (the usual 'elf and safety and legal 'red tape') so I'm not sure what they'd have sold for. I'd expect this car will generate a lot of interest and a few thousand pounds for the vendor.
