I hope the mods don't mind but here is another Thames News clip from September 1988. It relates to possible strike action by drivers on the Northern Line back then. It also talks about a day of widespread failures of trains and at Lots Road Power Station. It is quite interesting to hear them talk about the state of the system affecting London's businesses and the way the City copes (or not). Features 1959 and 1972 stock plus old style UTS ticket machines.
As an aside for the Admin Team - might it be a good idea to set up a separate section for these (or other) You Tube clips? That would create a little archive of TV clips about London's transport system with the Tube being the predominant element.
