I am wondering if there are any plans for any of the dated looking Victoria line stations to close for refurbishment. For example, Pimlico looks very dated and passed it's time. As well as this matter, are there any future plans for any tube station to close for refurbishment. I was also wondering when a Victoria line station is closed, do the trains proceed the starter signal at 5MPH and did they do that with the 1967TS as well?

Pimlico is not due to be refurbished per se, as it is (as I last heard) to be kept in near original Vic line condition. But it wouldn't go amiss to smarten it up in original style ....

I'm not generally a big fan of 60s and 70s stuff but I don't mind Pimlico. Sure, the entrances and the booking hall are grotty and a complete wind tunnel but the circulating area at the bottom of the escalators (a third wouldn't go astray either) and the platforms are better examples of the architecture of the day. I sort of see it as shabby 60s chic... And other general Vic line Instagrams over the years:

Some of it could do with a touch up. Possibly at weekends (possibly Sunday) they could close the station to do touch ups.

Some new signs are on the way but the illuminated platform roundels are to remain.
The intention is to retain the appearance of the original platform as much as possible but the platform friezes will change to the corporate style in order to highlight the exit in case of emergencies.
