With the announcement the other day that there are 50 days to go until the frontage of King's Cross main line station is revealed properly, for the first time in 'xxx' years, reminds me of the official (LT) photo that shows the GNP&BR Leslie Green station building that was plonked in front of it, probably in its very early days (the photo, that is).
Can anyone help as to a date when it was demolished - I did think after the Picc/Northern escalators were installed in 1939 but in 1947 the Piccadilly lifts were reinstated for the 'up' direction until c.1953. So I guessing it must have been some time after that?
