Can anyone help with the breakdown of the number of trains for each group of services worked by the 378s, please?
Stratford - Richmond/Clapham Euston - Watford (I think that's 6?) Highbury - New Cross/Crystal Palace/West Croydon
I assume that the Highbury - New Cross/Crystal Palace/West Croydon (and Clapham) will increase in December.
Many thanks

Many thanks Working solely from the public timetables then I make it GOBLIN - 6 units (included for completeness) Watford DC - 6 units ELLDalston - NX - 4 units Highbury - WC - 9 units Highbury - CP - 7 units NLL / WLL - 16 units (taken from PM peak timings and frequencies). It is possible that the working timetables do something clever which reduces the numbers of NLL / WLL units. A very quick look at Open Train Times for the timings of the new SSL service suggests 8 units will be needed but I believe it will interwork with the West Croydon service at Highbury so a combined unit requirement would need to be calculated. Happy to be corrected if the above is wrong.

Many thanks Working solely from the public timetables then I make it GOBLIN - 6 units (included for completeness) Plus one extra for the morning peak Woodgrange Park - Hampstead Heath Service. I think that there needs to be one or two more used on the NLL/WLL line as units don't return on the first service, but on the second from Stratford and take more than one hour to travel each way. I.e. the 07.10 arrival from Richmond (dep 06.09) returns not as the 07.12 to Richmond, but as the 07.20 to Clapham Junction (arriving 08.24), finally returning to Richmond at 10.46. So it takes more than 4 hours 30 mins to run both two round trips, but 16 trains would have to be able to do this in 4 hours or less.

That's fine - I had assumed a fairly long turnround at Stratford but did not calculate on an interworked basis. If the peak round trip time is 4.5 hours then the unit requirement will increase to 18 units (for a 15 min headway service).
