what type of turnstiles are used for fare payment of ticket for the underground and how it differ from the paris metro and new york subway counterparts

You buy tickets either from a ticket office or from a self-service machine. You then use the ticket to get through the turnstiles (or barriers, as they are known here) Ticket Barriers (Image now removed from post)

does the underground fare barriers use the rotating bar type Not now, in the early days of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) they did try some on the Victoria Line.
